Andrea and Scott Ralls have dedicated their professional lives to empowering children.
Between them they have more than 45 years teaching and camp experience.
They have owned and directed Southwoods since its beginning, developing it into
the premier 4-week children's camp in the country.

	Adam Shepherd - Associate Director Adam grew up in Wheelersburg, Ohio and attended Miami University of Ohio where he attained a degree in Educational Psychology.  While an undergrad at Miami University, Adam began his career with Southwoods in 1998 as a Group Leader.  Since then, Adam has returned to Southwoods as a Group Leader and later the Boy's Head Counselor.   Upon graduating from college, Adam worked with public schools in Austin, Texas and Columbus, Ohio, developing and overseeing work and educational programs for students with specific learning disabilities.  In 2001, Adam joined the Southwoods full-time staff where he enjoys talking with new families about Southwoods, recruiting staff, and overseeing Boy's Side as the Head Counselor.
	Stephanie Rathgeber - Office Manager Growing up in the Wildcat state of Kentucky, Stephanie loves UK basketball. She attended Murray State University majoring in Educational Studies. Steph first came to Southwoods in 2004, became our Girls Assistant Head Counselor in 2006 and after working at the MSU Career Services office this fall has now joined us full time.  Here at the winter office she manages staff recruitment and planning for Summer 2007. Stephanie is an avid moviegoer, is addicted to Grey’s Anatomy, and loves to pick up a good book to read whenever she can.
	Shaun Rathgeber - Upper Camp Head Counselor Shaun grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and began working at Southwoods while finishing his undergrad at the University of Saskatoon. After his first summer as a cabin specialist Shaun returned to Saskatoon to finish his degree in Secondary Education and begin teaching in the local school systems. He returned to Southwoods in 2005 and 2006 as our Upper Senior Boys Group Leader.  After spending his last 3 winters working as a teacher and a volleyball coach, Shaun has now expanded his 2007 Southwoods summer position as the Upper Camp Boys Assistant Head Counselor to include staff recruiting with our Southwoods winter office. Shaun is an enthusiastic Saskatchewan Rough Riders fan and an avid fantasy sports player.
	Dave Parent - Accountant Dave was born in Wyoming and raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of West Florida with an Economics & Finance degree. A desire for a change of scenery and a summer job as a bookkeeper at Southwoods soon became a vocation for Dave. He joined the Southwoods team full time in the fall of 2002. During the winter, Dave fills the role of controller including accounting, operations and coordination of off-season special events. In the summer, he also manages our office staff and the booking and coordination of all off camp trips. Dave is an avid golfer, guitar player and Jimmy Buffett fan.
